The National Initiative for Cybersecurity Careers and Studies (NICCS) has developed the Cyber Career Pathways Tool to allow those considering a cybersecurity career as well as those currently working in the field to explore possible career paths.
This interactive tool groups the 52 work roles of the NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework into 5 skill communities: IT, Cybersecurity, Cyber Effects, Intel (Cyber), and Cross Functional. The tool identifies core attributes among the 52 work roles and allows comparison between work roles to increase understanding of skills relevant to multiple roles. It is useful not just to those who wish to work in or who already work in cyber but to anyone who wants to understand the cyber workforce better.
